Talk on Writing, Trauma, and Grief with Helene Flood at the Pontificia Universidad Católica
On 7th October, GRATO provided simultaneous interpretation services from English to Spanish during the “Writing, Trauma, and Grief” talk hosted by the author Helene Flood. This event, held in the Social Sciences auditorium of the San Joaquín campus, was part of the week dedicated to discovering Norway at the Pontificia Universidad Católica and brought together students, academics, and literature enthusiasts. GRATO interpreters Francisca Araya and Javiera Marileo, along with the assistance of Daniela Barraza in LiveVoice, facilitated communication between the attendees, ensuring fluid interaction. This space was an excellent opportunity to reflect on the connection between writing and emotions, contributing to the dialogue on the importance of mental health.
