Excellent work at the PUC: Our simultaneous interpreting team offers communicative support in the China – Latin America 2024 Youth Challenge to Alleviate Poverty on the Tsinghua University program
The Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) has been the setting for a significant collaboration between the Chinese government and university as part of the China – Latin America 2024 Youth Challenge to Alleviate Poverty program. This innovating project was successfully done because of our simultaneous interpreting team which facilitated the communication among the participants. The event brought together students from PUC and some from Tsinghua University to present in English proposals to reduce poverty in Chile. The different projects were evaluated by a jury from Tsinhua University. Our interpreting team, Daniela Barraza, Francisca Castro and Paulina Esquivel, were key to assuring smooth and effective communication between all participants and members of the jury. The event finished successfully, and an award ceremony was done for those teams who had outstanding proposals, awarding them a prestigious internship at Tsinghua University in China.
